80-100 Victoria St – Office Refurbishment

In 2016, Land Securities, the largest commercial property development and investment company in the UK, moved their office headquarters to Level 1 of 80-100 Victoria Street.  Prior to the move Level 1 underwent an extensive refurbishment and fit-out program.  The project achieved a BREEAM rating of outstanding (first in the UK for 2016) and WELL Silver rating.

Land Securities regularly engage Sturgis Carbon Profiling to undertake life cycle analysis of their projects.  For this project Sturgis used eToolLCD software to perform the LCA calculations and inform the design process.  The certified LCA provided the maximum 6+1 Mat 01 credits available under BREEAM RFO.

Land Securities’ new office space delivers energy reduction strategies.  Embodied carbon is reduced through exposure of ceiling soffits and services reducing the finishing materials required.
