How To Add Value To Your Services Using Life Cycle Design
Life Cycle Design (LCD) has quickly become the go-to method for defining sustainability in buildings in governments, green building councils and organisations around the world. It is considered best practice for good building design by the International Standard Organization (ISO 14044) and is a powerful methodology for ensuring genuinely sustainable and high performance outcomes.
“Life cycle assessment is not a fad, and will increasingly be understood as a smart business decision within a sustainable business model,” said Romily Madew, Chief Executive of the GBCA
LCD offers an integrated design approach to building and provide designers with the freedom to incorporate new design elements in their projects moving forward .Many developers, architects, designers and councils have successfully incorporated LCD into Business As Usual (BAU) practice.
eTool LCD Engineer and Regional Business Development Manager Henrique Mendonça will provide an overview of Life Cycle Design with examples of how it has been incorporated in different sectors and how key stakeholders have taken it on board. Participants will leave with an understanding of LCD and how they can offer it as a service for their clients using the eToolLCD software.
