below are few question regarding to eTOOL,

May i know in order to get Malaysian grid established, is there any info that should i provided?
Any fee charged for the establishment of the grid.
Other than electricity grid, are there any more database have to be modified to suit the malaysia region?
such as water supply grid, water supply treatment, material &energy database (As i know which is an Australasian specific dataset but is not regional specific?)
Is that mean i can use all the material template in the eTool even though for materials manufactured out of Australia?

Any reply will be highly appreciated.
      Thank You.

My apologies for not contacting you sooner, at the time of your email I was on the cusp of updating the background data in eTool and though I should just add a Malaysian Electricity grid to the database. I have done this, and the data update has finally gone live tonight. There is now a Malaysian grid you can select for your project.

In the not to distant future we will also be adding more regional databases (likely Europe, International, US first). A feature we will introduce with this is the ability to switch between databases with your project and also run a sensitivity analysis to test the effect of different background data on the LCA results (effectively the background data will be mapped consistently in the application so this can occur automatically, as far as we know this will be unique to eTool).

eTool can certainly be used to evaluate a Malaysian building. The AusLCI data that is currently the default database for materials, energy etc is based on Australian or international manufacturing techniques which probably don’t differ too much from Malaysian techniques. For most building materials, the production methods around the world are fairly similar.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

      Thank you and regards,
